‘WOW!’ …… (aka: ‘Women On the Water’)

Ladies, Ladies, Ladies….. roll up, roll up, roll up and check this out.
Aimed at encouraging as many curious Women as possible – and that includes all of you Saturday & Wednesday ‘Patio Parents’ …Manor Park Sailing Club will be launching a ‘This Girl Can’ campaign, focusing on teaching ladies to sail and then to continue sailing as part of a ladies’ social group.

We all know that the blokes love to show off their nautical prowess but, lets face it, they ‘aint the Ben Ainslie’s that they they think they are – bless.

So, now it’s your time to shine and get out on the water to show them all exactly how it should be done 🙂

We will be offering a ladies-only taster session to see if sailing is for you on Saturday 6th May 2017 between 12:30 and 2:30 p.m.

Alternatively visit us on our Open Day on Saturday 13th May between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

After that you can learn to sail over 6 session on either a Saturday afternoon, Wednesday evening, or both. Alongside this Level 1 course we will be offering a friendly and confidence building Ladies social sailing group – ‘Women on the Water’.

Training sessions will cost £9 a session, which includes instruction from a female instructor (where possible), use of a boat and buoyancy aid. You will pay for the 6 sessions, log book and manual up front alongside the £64 crew membership (discounted to £27.50 for those aged 50 – 60 years).

As a member of the club you will be invited to all club social and sailing events.

Please come along to our Launch day or Open Day to find out more, or contact Emma Dodd on editor@mpsc.co.uk or 01543 300538 (evenings only).

Bring a change of clothes, towel, trainers you don’t mind getting wet and a waterproof coat. If you have beach shoes and a wetsuit please bring those.

This campaign is partly funded by Sport Across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent
