Following on from Krish & Eve’s European adventures, MPSC has members scattered far and wide at the moment representing at various events.
Lee, Emma and Tony were at the Lightning368 National championships held at Northampton SC last weekend and had a great time. Superb racing, decent breeze and (the usual) incredible Lightning social! A best-ever Nationals result for Lee, leading the Manor Park posse in 12th overall after two solid days of racing, Emma won the ‘Most Improved’ helm award in 18th and Tony 17th.
This weekend ahead we have Tony, John and Anne competing in the prestigious ‘Southport 24hr’ race at Southport Marina lake. This is an amazing event that is incredibly demanding but great fun – particularly on Friday night before racing has even started! Good luck to you both.
In a couple of weeks, Dave & Marg will be off to Cardiff Bay for the K1 Nationals, keeping the Manor Park flag flying.
With Lee, Emma and Tony also continuing with the remainder of the Lightning368 Grand Prix Series (3 events remain in the series at Hunts SC, Whitefriars and West Oxford SC) you can see that the gospel according to Manor Park is being spread far and wide 🙂
With Darins’ Model Yachting exploits added to all of this we’re certainly seen as a very active club when it comes to travelling, so well done to all for the year so far and good luck for all of those events coming up 😀
