Well that was a weekend and a half huh? Ballistic wind, huge Junior / Training turnout, fantastic racing for the Lightning368’s …..but you know what? It wouldn’t have been anywhere near as enjoyable without the help and friendliness of everyone at Manor Park SC
Seriously, I’ve been to a few clubs on my travels, but not many have the full-on willingness and ‘can-do’ attitude that we seem to have within us.
Everyone that even took to the water on Saturday gets a huge round of applause from me! – whether it was Juniors, Adult trainees, Burton Venture Trust, social sailors….that wind was immense and provided conditions best described as ‘Challenging’ 🙂
To Ed and the team with our amazing juniors, To Dave Norris and the race team, to Scott & Nigel for rescuing most of the Lightning fleet at some point, to David Jackson for his amazing galley chefery, to Sheila for bailing me out in the galley when I seemed to be in 8 places at once……mainly, though, to everyone at MPSC: “What a great club!, so friendly” became almost boring to hear from our visiting friends 🙂
Never under-estimate just how nice our club is, so thankyou to everyone for making that a truly epic weekend!
“Let’s go sailing!!” 🙂
